Chevrolet Colorado, First Place in Imported Car Registrations in September
Pickup Truck Achieves First Place Monthly Ranking Among Imported Cars
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Korea GM announced on the 6th that its Chevrolet Real New Colorado ranked first in imported car registrations in September with 758 units. This is the first time since the Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association (KAIDA) began compiling data.
The Real New Colorado outsold popular imported SUVs and sedan models such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300e, BMW X4, Mercedes-Benz E220d, and Lexus ES300h in sales volume. Additionally, through this record, Colorado made history as the first pickup truck model to rank first in monthly domestic imported car registrations.

In the September best-selling car rankings by fuel type, Chevrolet also performed well with Colorado ranking first and Traverse ranking ninth. The Chevrolet Traverse continued its popularity by ranking first in sales (by trim) for three consecutive months in the imported large SUV segment. The Chevrolet brand recorded a total of 1,022 registrations in the brand ranking for September based on KAIDA data, achieving 5th place among 24 imported car brands (KAIDA member companies basis).
