LG Electronics Guide Robot 'LG CLOi GuideBot' Wins Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for Excellent Design
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] LG Electronics' guide robot 'LG CLOi GuideBot' received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at this year's Good Design (GD) product selection on the 6th.
Unveiled by LG Electronics at the end of last month, this robot features a slim design with a height of 150cm. It is equipped with 27-inch displays on both the front and back, capturing the attention of the public. This product has been operating on a trial basis since this month at the COEX Mall in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu.
The LG CLOi GuideBot not only provides guidance to major facilities within buildings but also offers a 'destination companion service' that accompanies customers to their destinations. Additionally, in a situation where visitors prefer contactless services due to COVID-19, it has a docent function that introduces content and conducts tours for visitors to libraries, museums, and exhibition halls.
Meanwhile, besides the LG CLOi GuideBot, LG Electronics' wireless private screen LG StanbyMe also received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, and a total of 21 products, including the LG CordZero A9S Objet Collection cordless vacuum cleaner, LG Whisen Tower air conditioner, and LG HealingMe massage chair, were selected for Good Design awards, demonstrating design leadership.
