Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch Opens High-End Living Specialty Hall 'Prime Maison de Jamsil'
Surge in Demand for Living Products After COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Lotte Department Store announced on the 6th that it will renew the living goods section on the 9th and 10th floors of its Jamsil branch and open the high-end living specialty store "Prime Maison de Jamsil" starting from the 8th.
Prime Maison de Jamsil is presented with the concept of a luxurious mansion in collaboration with "Conran & Partners," which operates the UK's premium lifestyle select shop "The Conran Shop." Spanning two floors, it is composed of six zones: lifestyle, bedding content, premium kitchen & tableware, a space targeting the MZ generation, premium furniture, and a home appliance megastore.
The furniture store, which has expanded its area by about 70% compared to the previous store, houses a total of 36 premium furniture brands including "Roche Bobois," the high-end bed brand "Duxiana," the simple French mood brand "Ligne Roset," and "Molteni&C," a symbol of modern furniture.
In the space targeting the MZ generation, the high-end living select shop "Diciate" and furniture collection "Eastern Edition by Yang Tae-oh" by designer Yang Tae-oh will open.
Additionally, "Capt.," Korea's first luxury carpet gallery store, implements a high-end imported carpet collection in a gallery format that was hard to find in existing department stores. It also offers a service where an on-site carpet expert recommends carpets that suit customers' tastes and the arrangement with surrounding furniture.
According to Lotte Department Store, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, customer interest in living goods has continued to grow this year following last year, leading to high sales growth rates. Demand for high-priced high-end living brands has increased further, driving sales in the living goods category.
Lotte Department Store's living goods sales from January to September this year increased by 34% compared to the same period last year. In particular, during this period, the average spending per customer in the living goods category at the Jamsil branch was twice the average of all stores.
