515 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul by 9 PM... 157 Fewer Than a Week Ago
The number of new COVID-19 cases has dropped below 2,000. After consistently recording figures in the 2,000s since the 24th of last month, the count fell to the 1,600s for the first time in 11 days. The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on the 4th, the number of new confirmed cases was 1,673. View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Seoul reported a provisional total of 515 new COVID-19 cases over 21 hours from midnight to 9 p.m. on the 4th, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
This is 34 fewer cases than the 549 reported during the same period on the previous day (the 3rd) and 157 fewer than the 672 cases reported a week earlier (September 27). The total number of cases for the entire day was 574 on the 3rd and 842 on September 27.

As of 9 p.m. on the day, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Seoul was provisionally counted at 104,027. The total number of cases for the day will be finalized and announced in the morning based on the count as of midnight on the following day, the 5th.
