Government Launches Campaign to Improve Awareness of Art Distribution and Appraisal
Guidelines Created on the Theme of 'Sharing the Value and Trust of Works'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Management Support Center will conduct a campaign from the 4th under the theme "Sharing the Value and Trust of Artworks" to improve awareness regarding art distribution and appraisal. To help creators, distributors, and consumers approaching the art market easily understand the art distribution structure, guidelines explaining art appraisal methods, artwork management, and preservation will be produced and provided through social networking services (SNS) and art magazines. Video content that explains the art market and distribution in an easy-to-understand manner will also be created and released on platforms such as YouTube. Programs for experts familiar with the art market will be prepared as well. In collaboration with the Korea Fine Arts Association and the Korea Gallery Association, discussions and educational programs will be held to restore trust in the art market and promote its growth. For detailed information including participation methods, please refer to the websites of the Arts Management Support Center and the Korea Gallery Association.
