[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's campaign announced on the 1st that Professor Kim Geun-sik of Gyeongnam National University has been appointed as the Head of Vision Strategy Office, and Lawyer Seok Dong-hyun as the Chief Special Advisor.
With Professor Kim, a close associate of former People Power Party Emergency Committee Chairman Kim Jong-in, joining the campaign, there is speculation that Kim Jong-in will actively support former Chairman Yoon. Professor Kim has also directly participated in the People Power Party's Seoul mayoral primary. He has experience as the Policy Chairman of the Economic Justice Practice Citizens' Federation Unification Association, Chairman of the People Power Party Unification Committee, and Head of Vision Strategy Office, and is expected to establish the campaign's vision strategy and provide policy support on unification issues.
Lawyer Seok, appointed as Chief Special Advisor, is known to have been a friend of former Chairman Yoon for over 40 years. Lawyer Seok has served as Deputy Head of the Saenuri Party Legal Support Group, Chairman of the Haeundae Gap Party Committee of the Liberty Korea Party, Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office, and Chief Prosecutor of the Busan District Prosecutors' Office, and will support special advisory activities within the campaign.

Co-Directors of the People’s Hope Headquarters have been appointed as Professor Kim Jwa-yeol of Seoul Media Graduate School and former Vice Chairman of the People Power Party National Policy Advisory Council Jang Ju-sik. Yu Young-cheol, appointed as a special advisor for the Ulsan region, previously served as a special advisor to candidate Chung Mong-joon in the 18th presidential election and was president of the Ulsan University Student Council.
