Jangheung-gun Conducts 'Fixing Rural Houses' to Share Warmth
Promoting Customized Welfare through Public-Private Cooperation

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Saemaeul Association of Jangheung-gun, Jeonnam (President Kim Il-jin) announced on the 1st that on the 29th of last month, they carried out the 'Rural House Repair' project for three vulnerable households living in poor housing conditions.
This project was selected through the Dasomdungji Welfare Foundation public contest and is being implemented by the Jangheung-gun Saemaeul Association.
About 20 members of the Jangheung-gun Saemaeul Association participated, cleaning up household trash and long-neglected items exposed to unsanitary environments, thoroughly cleaning both the interior and exterior of the houses, and conducting small-scale repairs such as installing indoor bathrooms and replacing wallpaper and flooring.
President Kim Il-jin said, "I am very happy and proud to be able to participate in such a meaningful and rewarding work," adding, "We will continue to be an organization that actively volunteers whenever there are neighbors in need."
