Global Integrated System 'eGS' for eBay Sellers Launches Fall Discount Promotion
eBay Korea Offers 1,000 KRW Discount on Shipping Fees Nationwide Until the 31st
Standard Service 28% Cheaper on Average, Express Service 47% Cheaper Compared to EMS
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] eBay Korea announced on the 1st that it will run an autumn discount promotion for its proprietary global integrated shipping system 'eGS (eBay Korea Global Shipping Program)' until the 31st to boost sales for global open market eBay sellers. Sellers can enjoy benefits such as discounted shipping fees.
Launched in May last year as the first domestic e-commerce service of its kind, 'eGS' is a worldwide integrated shipping system that directly contracts with shipping companies known for excellent service quality to offer competitive shipping rates to domestic eBay sellers. Currently, it provides shipping services to a total of 118 countries.
Reflecting the diverse voices of sellers, it offers two cost-effective services: 'Standard' for great value and 'Express' for fast and high-quality delivery. The main active product categories include cosmetics (skincare, makeup, sheet masks, etc.), K-pop merchandise (albums, DVDs, photocards, goods, etc.), auto parts, and clothing.
This autumn discount promotion was prepared to contribute to sellers’ actual sales growth through shipping fee discounts. For sellers registered on the official eGS website, the U.S. Standard service offers a 2,000 KRW discount with no limit, while all other Standard and Express services nationwide provide a flat 1,000 KRW discount on shipping fees up to a 500,000 KRW limit. With the discount applied, the Standard service can be used at rates on average 28% cheaper than regular international shipping, and the Express service is 47% cheaper than international express mail service (EMS).
More details can be found on the official eGS website and the official eBay seller support cafe.
