View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] From the afternoon of Friday the 1st, strong rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, with an intensity of about 20mm per hour, will fall in the central region due to the influence of a low-pressure trough.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasted that rain will fall in the central region and northern Jeonbuk from the afternoon of the 1st until early morning of the 2nd, and there will be places with raindrops in the Jeonnam area, southern Jeonbuk, and inland northern Gyeongbuk. Since 6:20 a.m., strong rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has been falling in the West Sea 5 Islands.
Although there are places in the central region where strong rain of about 20mm per hour is falling, the duration of precipitation is short, so the total rainfall is not large. Due to instability in the upper and lower atmosphere, hail may fall in some parts of the central region, so caution is needed for crop damage and safety accidents.
Expected rainfall amounts are 5 to 40mm in the central region and West Sea 5 Islands, and 5 to 20mm in Gangwon Yeongdong, northern Jeonbuk, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.
Until 12 p.m. on the day, there will be many places with dense fog reducing visibility to less than 100 meters. As of 7 a.m., visibility at major points is 100m in Gimje and Julpo (Buan), 110m in Sejong Goun, 130m in Gyeonggi Gwangju, 140m in Yangju, 190m in Namyangju, 190m in Naju, 210m in Cheongdo, and 220m in Miryang.
The KMA stated, "In areas adjacent to rivers, lakes, and valleys, as well as in the mountainous areas of Gangwon, very dense fog may form locally, causing sudden changes in visibility. Low visibility warnings have been issued for Gimpo Airport and Cheongju Airport, and some airports may experience flight disruptions due to dense fog. Air travelers should check flight information in advance."
The whole country will be mostly clear, but clouds will increase from the afternoon, and the central region will become cloudy from night. The daytime high temperature will be 24 to 31 degrees Celsius, and the morning low on the 2nd will be 14 to 20 degrees Celsius. Inland areas will experience a temperature difference of more than 10 degrees Celsius between day and night, so health management is advised.

Along the coast of Jeju Island and the southern coast of Jeonnam, high waves are strongly pushing onto sandy beaches due to swell inflow, and waves are overtopping coastal roads, rocky shores, and breakwaters, so access to coastal areas should be avoided.
