Deloitte and SAS Korea Hold ESG Seminar on Climate Risk Management in the Financial Sector
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Deloitte Korea Group announced on the 30th that it will hold the ‘Deloitte-SAS Joint ESG Seminar for Climate Risk Management in the Financial Sector’ on October 7th in collaboration with SAS Korea, a data analytics solution provider.
This seminar aims to deliver key knowledge and insights on future ESG trends and response measures as the importance of the financial industry’s role in addressing climate change and sustainable development grows.
The seminar will be moderated by Ahn Sanghyuk, Deloitte Consulting’s Financial Industry Lead, who has over 20 years of advisory experience in domestic and international banking, insurance, credit card, and specialized finance sectors. Experts from both companies will explain the current status of ESG in the financial industry, solutions for climate risk management, and application cases in each session.
In the first session, Yeon Kyunghum, Senior Advisor at Deloitte Anjin, will present the overall ESG trends in the financial industry under the theme ‘Sustainable Finance, a New Paradigm in Capital Markets.’ The second session will introduce ESG-related services and solutions applicable to the financial industry from both companies. Lee Seungyoung, Senior Advisor at Deloitte Anjin, will discuss ‘Building an ESG Platform for the Financial Sector,’ Lim Junghoon, Senior Advisor at Deloitte Anjin, will cover ‘ESG-based Marketing Communication Strategies,’ and Lee Giwan, Executive Director at SAS Korea, will explain ‘Stress Test-based Climate Risk Management.’ In the final session, Lee Oksu, Director at Deloitte Anjin, will present ‘Domestic Financial Institutions’ ESG Implementation Cases,’ and Lee Dooho, Senior at SAS Korea, will discuss ‘ESG Application Cases in Japanese Financial Institutions.’
