Police Arrest Man in His 40s on Suspicion of Threatening Email to Yoon Young-chan
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The police have arrested a man in his 40s, identified as A, who is suspected of sending threatening emails to Yoon Young-chan, a close aide of former Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Nak-yeon, and have applied for an arrest warrant.
A appeared for a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) at the Seoul Western District Court on the morning of the 30th.
Yoon's side filed a complaint with the Seoul Mapo Police Station on the 9th of last month, requesting punishment for an unidentified individual calling themselves "Gwangju Iridle for Governor Lee Jae-myung's Election" on charges of intimidation.
