Advance Reservations for Influenza Vaccination for Those Aged 65 and Over... Starting from the 5th of Next Month
Daily Influenza Vaccination Limits by Medical Institution
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team announced on the 28th that they will conduct advance reservations for influenza vaccinations for seniors aged 65 and over to distribute vaccinations during the peak influenza vaccination period in October and November.
The advance reservations will be conducted sequentially by age group starting at 8 p.m. on the 5th of next month through the website and the 1339 call center. If it is difficult for the individual to make a reservation directly, a child or other representative may make the reservation on their behalf.
The national influenza vaccination is administered at designated local clinics (entrusted medical institutions) or public health centers. Eligible recipients can receive free vaccinations anywhere nationwide regardless of their registered address. Depending on regional characteristics, some areas such as islands and remote regions may receive vaccinations at public health centers or health sub-centers without advance reservations according to local government distributed vaccination plans.
Furthermore, since influenza vaccinations are administered concurrently with COVID-19 vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a limit on the number of influenza vaccinations per day at each medical institution. Therefore, seniors aged 65 and over are encouraged to receive vaccinations through advance reservations.
