Hyundai Motor Asan Plant Resumes Production After Semiconductor Shortage Halt
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 27th that the Asan plant, which had suspended operations due to a shortage of automotive semiconductors, has resumed production.
Hyundai Motor's Asan plant halted operations from the 15th to the 17th due to the semiconductor supply shortage. It also did not operate last week due to the Chuseok holiday.
The Asan plant had also stopped production on the 9th and 10th due to disruptions in semiconductor parts supply.
The Asan plant mainly produces Sonata and Grandeur models.
