Starbucks to Serve Drinks in Reusable Cups for One Day on the 28th
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Starbucks Coffee Korea announced on the 27th that it will hold a ‘Reusable Cup Day’ on the 28th, during which beverages ordered at Starbucks stores nationwide will be served in reusable cups for one day only.
Reusable Cup Day is a global customer event planned to celebrate Starbucks' 50th anniversary and World Coffee Day (October 1), aiming to convey Starbucks' sustainability values and an eco-friendly message about reducing single-use cup consumption through coffee. The event will be held simultaneously in Asian countries including Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
On the day of the event, customers who visit stores and order brewed beverages will receive their drinks in a reusable cup of Grande (16oz) size featuring a special design commemorating Starbucks' 50th anniversary. Considering the cup size, orders will only be accepted in Short, Tall, and Grande sizes for the day.
