Lee Jun-seok "Blowing up the Liaison Office, Not Receiving an Apology from North Korea and Rebuilding It Would Be Losing Pride"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 26th, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, criticized the recent statement by Kim Yo-jong, Deputy Director of the Workers' Party of Korea, saying, "Not even receiving an apology for North Korea's demolition of the Inter-Korean Joint Liaison Office building and then rebuilding it shows a lack of pride."
On the same day, Lee shared Kim's statement on his Facebook, in which she mentioned the possibility of discussing a declaration to end the war, reestablishment of the liaison office, and inter-Korean summits, and made the above remarks.
He said, "Demolishing and then reopening cannot be considered progress in inter-Korean relations," adding, "If the two sides just hold hands briefly, turn left, and then turn right again, they end up in the same place."
