During the Chuseok holiday period, large-scale population movement is taking place, and small-scale cluster infections are occurring continuously due to contact through family gatherings.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 22nd, 40 people were confirmed positive in one day, classified as numbers 4686 to 4725.
Among them, 10 people were classified as confirmed cases related to other cities and provinces, and among these, numbers 4720 to 4722 were infected after contact with number 4273 in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. Sporadic infections are increasing, including in the Seoul metropolitan area such as Seoul and Incheon.
There were 14 cases related to previously confirmed patients, and among them, 2 people tested positive while under self-quarantine.
There were 5 cases related to the Gwangsan-gu logistics center and 3 cases related to a manufacturing company in Gwangsan-gu.
At the manufacturing company, after number 4613 was first infected on the 19th, small-scale chain infections have appeared for four consecutive days mainly among foreign employees from Vietnam, Indonesia, and Russia, with 3 additional cases, totaling 27 cases.
There was 1 case related to the proactive testing of foreigners in Gwangsan-gu, and 7 cases are still under investigation with unknown infection routes.
