Lee Jae-myung Camp Files Complaints Against Kim Ki-hyun and Others for "Spreading False Information Related to Daejang-dong"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] The campaign of Lee Jae-myung, a presidential candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea, filed a complaint on the 19th with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office against Kim Ki-hyun, floor leader of the People Power Party, lawmaker Yoon Chang-hyun, and former candidate Jang Ki-pyo for violating the Public Official Election Act.
A campaign official explained, "Floor leader Kim and others spread false information with the intent to cause electoral defeat related to the Daejang-dong scandal."
Earlier, on the 17th, Lee Jae-myung's campaign stated, "Floor leader Kim named Mr. Yoo-mo as a key planner of the Daejang-dong public development project and claimed he is 'active in Lee Jae-myung's campaign.' This is a clear falsehood," announcing their intention to file a complaint.

On the same day, the campaign emphasized at a National Assembly press conference, "We will strictly hold former candidate Jang, floor leader Kim, and lawmaker Yoon legally accountable for spreading false information and telling lies," and stressed, "An immediate investigation into the 'People Power Gate' surrounding Daejang-dong must be conducted."
