Fire on Air France Passenger Plane from Beijing to Paris... Emergency Return
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] A fire broke out on an Air France passenger plane flying from Beijing, China to Paris, France.
According to foreign media including Russia's Sputnik News, at around 3:50 a.m. on the 18th, a fire broke out on Air France flight AF393 shortly after taking off from Beijing Capital International Airport, and the plane made an emergency return to Capital Airport 17 minutes after takeoff. The passenger plane was headed to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Passengers reported hearing an explosion near the tail of the plane and seeing black smoke rising. No injuries have been reported so far.
