Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Prepares Special Measures for Port Operations During Chuseok Holiday Period
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik) announced on the 17th that it has prepared a "Special Measures for Port Operations during the Chuseok Holiday" to provide uninterrupted port services at Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports.
According to this plan, the authority will operate an emergency standby system during the holiday period and support smooth port services such as vessel arrivals and departures to minimize inconvenience for port users.
A representative of the authority added, "We have established a rapid communication system among related organizations and industry groups to respond to various emergencies during the holiday period, and we will strengthen port patrols and inspections to maintain thorough port security measures."
Most of the docks at Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports will operate normally throughout the holiday period, with some docks, such as the container dock, scheduled to be closed on Chuseok day (the 21st) according to the work schedule.
