KOSPI Continues Uptrend Above '3130' on Individual Buying... KOSDAQ Recovers to '1040' Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The KOSPI is continuing its upward trend around the '3130 level' during the session, supported by net buying from individual investors.
As of 1:41 PM on the 17th, the KOSPI stands at 3,133.23, up 3.14 points (0.10%) from the previous day. The index opened at 3,127.75, down 2.34 points (0.07%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals are leading the index rise with net purchases of 345.3 billion KRW. Foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 136.7 billion KRW and 231.2 billion KRW, respectively.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, SK Hynix and Celltrion rose more than 2%. Samsung Electronics and Samsung Biologics also increased by 0.92% and 0.87%, respectively. On the other hand, Kakao and LG Chem showed declines in the 1% range.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ is trading at 1,042.74, up 3.31 points (0.32%) from the previous day. The index opened at 1,040.73, up 1.3 points (0.13%) from the previous trading day.
Individuals are net buyers with 49.4 billion KRW. Conversely, foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 12.9 billion KRW and 31.8 billion KRW, respectively.
