Gyeonggi Fire Department to Conduct 'Emergency Rescue Command Unit Proficiency' Training on the 16th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters conducted a proficiency training for the emergency rescue command unit.
On the 16th, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced on the 17th that about 150 people, including the headquarters emergency support team and on-site members of the Suwon Southern Fire Station emergency rescue control team, participated in a proficiency training exercise assuming a large fire occurred at a large factory in Suwon, held at the headquarters building in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, and the factory.
The training, which began with situation dissemination, proceeded in the order of 'arrival and activities of the first response team → operation of a temporary emergency medical center → arrival of the on-site command unit → assembly of the emergency support team → activation and operation of the emergency rescue control team → support from the Gyeonggi-do emergency rescue command unit → training evaluation.'
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters will continue regional training sessions four times in total until the end of next month, starting with this training.

Lee Sang-gyu, head of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, explained, "When a large disaster occurs, assigning and performing tasks tailored to the characteristics of the disaster site is most important," adding, "Through continuous training, understanding individual tasks and communication and information sharing among team members will be of great help in actual disaster sites."
