Xiaomi launches new tablet 'Pad 5'... priced at 449,000 KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Xiaomi is challenging the domestic market again by launching the new cost-effective tablet PC, the "Xiaomi Pad 5."
On the 16th, Xiaomi held an online product launch event and announced the official domestic release of new products including the Xiaomi Pad 5.
The new tablet PC Pad 5 unveiled by Xiaomi on this day is the first product released in three years since the "Mi Pad 4" in 2018. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 860 application processor (AP), features an 11-inch display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, and is equipped with immersive quad stereo speakers. Xiaomi explained, "The display, which applies more than 1 billion vibrant colors, and the immersive sound of Dolby Atmos will elevate the user experience to the next level."
The Pad 5 will first be released in two colors, Cosmic Gray and Pearl White, with a model featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity, and plans to release a model with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage capacity later. Additionally, the Pad 5 is compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Pen, which has two buttons for writing and screenshots.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 will be released on Coupang from the 23rd at 449,000 KRW, and will be sold at an early bird discount price of 399,000 KRW for four days from the 23rd to the 26th. The Xiaomi Smart Pen will be available for separate purchase from next month at 89,900 KRW on Coupang, 11st, Naver Smart Store, Gmarket, and Auction.
On the same day, Xiaomi also unveiled the wireless earphones "Redmi Buds 3 Pro" equipped with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) functionality. Xiaomi stated, "The Redmi Buds 3 Pro is equipped with dual microphones that can reduce noise by up to 35 decibels (dB), creating an environment for immersive music listening," and "It offers four ANC modes depending on the situation."
The Redmi Buds 3 Pro can be used for up to 6 hours on a single charge, and usage can be extended up to 28 hours including the charging case. Xiaomi also explained that it supports fast charging, allowing for 3 hours of use with just 10 minutes of charging.
Available in two colors, black and white, the Redmi Buds 3 Pro will be available for purchase from the 23rd on Coupang, 11st, Naver Smart Store, Gmarket, and Auction. The price is 67,900 KRW, and it will be sold at an early bird discount price of 59,900 KRW for three days until the 25th.
