Gyeonggi Office of Education Surveys 'Democracy Index' in 2,575 Schools Across the Province
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is conducting a democracy index survey targeting all 2,575 schools in the province.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that from the 16th of this month until November 5th, it will carry out an organizational culture diagnosis using the 'School Democracy Index 2.0' for a total of about 700,000 students, parents, and staff members at 2,575 kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the province.
The School Democracy Index 2.0 is a diagnostic tool developed by the Gyeonggi Office of Education in 2015, aimed at allowing students, parents, and staff to assess the culture of school democracy themselves and find solutions based on the results.
This year, the Gyeonggi Office of Education improved the School Democracy Index focusing on ▲ expanding the proportion of school autonomous composition questions ▲ adding descriptive questions ▲ emphasizing the areas of 'curriculum democracy' and 'school autonomy' ▲ and ensuring fairness and objectivity by assigning personal IDs.
The results of this survey will be announced through an online system in early December.
