GS Caltex and Yeosu Police Station Conduct 'Saerom Classroom'
Factory Tour and Career Exploration Education for Local Youth
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] GS Caltex is playing a significant role as a guide for the dreams and hopes of local youth in collaboration with the Yeosu Police Station in Jeollanam-do.
Since 2018, GS Caltex has participated in and sponsored the Yeosu Police Station's youth guidance and career planning program, ‘Saerom Classroom,’ conducting a total of eight sessions through September this year.
On the first day, the 13th, ten outstanding students recommended by school principals in the Yeosu area and the Yeosu Police Station visited the GS Caltex Yeosu Plant, toured the factory facilities, and attended a lecture titled ‘Creating Your Future Self’ by an in-house GS Caltex expert instructor. They seriously planned their visions and careers and had a valuable time presenting in front of their peers.
On the 14th, they participated in various programs such as aptitude tests, psychological counseling, peer relationships, and experiential learning at the Blue Tree Foundation Jeonnam Eastern Branch, learning not only the importance of academic studies but also the significance of good character and peer relationships.
A GS Caltex official stated, “We will continue to support the Saerom Classroom program with the Yeosu Police Station so that youth in the Yeosu area can nurture their dreams and hopes and grow into healthy members of society.”
Meanwhile, GS Caltex is conducting various and in-depth child and youth support programs, including the ‘Hope Energy Classroom Program’ for elementary and middle school students, in cooperation with the Yeosu Area Regional Children's Center Association.
