Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Lim Young-su Under Investigation by Election Commission for Alleged Election Law Violation
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Im Young-soo, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly (Boseong 1) who is being mentioned as a candidate for Boseong County Governor in next year's local elections, is reportedly under investigation for violating the Public Official Election Act.
According to the Jeonnam Election Commission on the 15th, Assemblyman Im is suspected of conducting pre-election campaigning by distributing his legislative report beyond his assembly district to the entire Boseong area.
He is also accused of making donations by paying for meals at residents' gatherings.
It is known that Assemblyman Im recently provided explanations to the Jeonnam Election Commission.
A Jeonnam Election Commission official stated, "The investigation is nearly complete, but we cannot disclose specific details at this stage."
