Goyang City Promotes 'Comprehensive Chuseok Measures in 5 Areas'
Operation of 24-Hour Comprehensive Situation Room... Normal Operation of Screening Clinics
Operation of Public Health Center Emergency Treatment Situation Rooms, 437 Hospitals and Clinics, and 193 Pharmacies
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Goyang City in Gyeonggi Province announced a 'Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan' containing measures for various sectors ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The comprehensive plan for the Chuseok holiday announced by the city on the 15th includes five sector-specific areas: COVID-19, emergency medical care, cleaning and environment, disaster safety, and transportation.
The city plans to implement thorough quarantine measures as this Chuseok holiday marks a critical turning point in the fourth wave of COVID-19.
From the start of the Chuseok holiday on the 18th, a 'Chuseok Comprehensive Situation Room' will operate 24 hours a day for five days to respond to sudden civil complaints, and the civil complaint call center will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
From the 17th to the 23rd, gatherings of up to 8 people, including those fully vaccinated, will be allowed only for 'family gatherings.'
For elderly care facilities, face-to-face visits will be allowed only for guardians who have completed vaccination for two weeks starting from the 13th, while other guardians can only have non-face-to-face visits.
Facility workers will be required to undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing after the holiday, and the screening clinics at the three public health centers in Deogyang-gu, Ilsandong-gu, and Ilsanseo-gu will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Starting from the 13th, a special quarantine response team of about 130 people will be operated separately each day.
Through this, the city will focus on checking compliance with quarantine rules at high-risk facilities such as karaoke rooms and PC rooms, large-scale stores such as large marts and department stores, traditional markets, religious facilities, and logistics and delivery facilities.
The 'Safe Pickup Bus,' which supports overseas arrivals by transporting them from the airport to the screening clinic via a dedicated bus (No. 7400) for testing before returning home, will operate normally four times a day.
Hospitals and clinics totaling 437 locations and 193 pharmacies will also be open on designated dates. You can check by searching for 'holiday hospitals' online or by contacting the civil complaint call center.
At the city's public health center 'Emergency Medical Situation Room,' simple primary internal medicine treatment is available. You can check the nearest emergency room on the 'Emergency Medical Portal.'
All eight private columbariums in Goyang City, except Cheonga Park, as well as four columbarium facilities operated by Seoul City such as Seunghwawon, will be closed. However, the Cheonga Park shuttle bus service will be suspended.
