Samsung Electronics, Naver, and 34 Other Companies Receive 'Top Excellence' in Win-Win Growth Index

36 Top Performers, 63 Excellent, 70 Good, 19 Average, 10 Poor

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Yuhan-Kimberly, Samsung Electronics, Naver, and 33 other companies received the highest grade in the Win-Win Growth Index. Ten companies, including Iljin Global and Sinsung ENG, which did not participate in the Fair Trade Agreement implementation evaluation, received a poor rating.
On the 15th, the Win-Win Growth Committee held the 67th Win-Win Growth Committee meeting and announced the results of the "2020 Win-Win Growth Index Evaluation," which included these details. This announcement was postponed to September for the second consecutive year due to the impact of COVID-19.
This evaluation reflected voluntary and diverse efforts by large corporations targeting non-trading SMEs and local communities to overcome the COVID-19 crisis early.
Among the 210 companies evaluated, 36 were rated highest, 63 excellent, 70 good, 19 average, and 10 poor.
The companies with the highest grade include Kia, Naver, Nongshim, Daesang, Samsung Display, Samsung C&T (Construction Division), Samsung Engineering, Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, SEMES, Yuhan-Kimberly, Innocean, Cheil Worldwide, Paris Croissant, POSCO, Hyundai Construction, Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai Engineering, Hyundai Wia, Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Transys, CJ CheilJedang, DL E&C, GS Retail (GS25), KT, LG Display, LG Household & Health Care, LG Uplus, LG Innotek, LG Chem, LG CNS, SK Ecoplant (formerly SK Construction), SK Inc., SK Geo Centric (formerly SK General Chemicals), SK Telecom, and SK Hynix.
Since the start of the Win-Win Growth Index evaluation in 2011, companies that have consecutively received the highest grade as honorary top companies include Samsung Electronics (10 years), SK Telecom (9 years), Kia (8 years), Hyundai Transys, KT, LG Display, LG Household & Health Care, and SK Inc. (all 7 years).
The 10 companies that did not participate in the Fair Trade Agreement evaluation received a poor grade. These include Seowon Distribution, Sinsung ENG, Simtek, Aekyung Industrial, Estra Automotive System, Iljin Global, Tyco AMP, Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, ThyssenKrupp Elevator Korea, and Korea Kolmar. Among them, Aekyung Industrial and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Korea did not even submit a list of partner companies for the Win-Win Growth Committee's perception survey.
The Win-Win Growth Committee withheld final grade confirmation and excluded from publication 12 companies under legal violation review and prosecution, 10 companies undergoing administrative disciplinary review, and 2 companies prosecuted by the Fair Trade Commission under the mandatory prosecution request system.

In the 2021 evaluation, the Win-Win Growth Committee plans to reflect not only large corporations' COVID-19 support performance but also efforts to build a sustainable management foundation such as ESG (environment, social, governance) of partner companies. They will continuously improve the evaluation system according to industrial environmental changes to promote the spread of a new culture of mutual cooperation.
