WEMAKEPRICE's '2.9% Commission' Reduces Partner Companies' Fee Burden by Over 80%
Among partners applying 2.9%, 92.4% reduced fees compared to the previous year
Partners who reduced fees by over 80% accounted for 81.5%
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] It has been found that most partner companies participating in Wemakeprice's 2.9% flat-rate commission program significantly reduced their commission burdens.
Wemakeprice announced on the 15th that among the partners who applied the 2.9% flat-rate commission during August, 92.4% saved on commissions compared to the same period last year. In particular, 81.5% of them reduced their commissions by more than 80%. For example, a partner company that incurred 1 million KRW in commissions per month participated in the 2.9% commission program, lowering their burden to less than 200,000 KRW.
A representative of a partner company selling food and daily necessities on Wemakeprice said, "Sales in July this year increased by 78% compared to last year, but thanks to the 2.9% commission, the commission was reduced to one-tenth of the previous level," adding, "We plan to invest the saved commission into offering competitively priced products and services."
Seller participation continues steadily. The number of new partners joining Wemakeprice in August increased by 9.4% compared to the same period last year. The total number of partners selling products on Wemakeprice also increased by 21%.
In April, Wemakeprice officially implemented the 2.9% commission. The differentiated commission system by product, which was applied in an open market format, was also abolished. Starting in September, the 2.9% flat-rate commission was expanded to non-delivery partners such as travel, accommodation, and performances.
