Gyeonggi-do Allows Limited Visits to Nursing Hospitals During Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will operate 165 screening clinics and temporary screening testing sites during the Chuseok holiday. In addition, temporary screening testing sites will be installed at four highway rest areas. Furthermore, limited visitation will be allowed for nursing hospitals and similar facilities.
On the 14th, Ryu Young-cheol, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Health and Wellness Bureau, held a regular press conference and announced that 98 screening clinics and 67 temporary screening testing sites will be operated until the 26th to ensure no inconvenience in COVID-19 diagnostic testing.
The operating hours for the screening clinics and temporary screening testing sites are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. However, since this may vary depending on the institution's circumstances, it is recommended to check the operation status through the Gyeonggi Call Center 120 before visiting.
Additionally, temporary screening testing sites will be installed and operated at four highway rest areas in Anseong, Icheon, Hwaseong, and Yongin.
In particular, visitation will be allowed during this period for nursing hospitals and nursing facilities. To disperse visitors, a prior reservation system will be implemented. Contact visits are permitted if both the inpatient and the visitor have completed vaccination; otherwise, only non-contact visits are allowed.
Moreover, from the 17th to the 23rd of this month, for one week, family gatherings at home will be allowed with up to eight people including those who have completed vaccination, even in level 4 areas. Only home gatherings are permitted, and this does not apply to multi-use facilities in level 4 areas.
