Power Outage Affects Over 1,300 Households in Seoul Mokdong Apartment Complex
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] At around 6:30 PM on the 13th, a power outage occurred in an apartment complex in Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, cutting off electricity supply to about 1,300 households.
A Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) official stated, "The outage was caused by an issue with the apartment complex's internal transformer," adding, "We are currently working to connect to a backup transformer, and power transmission will resume once the work is completed."
Due to the power outage, a total of 10 residents trapped in several apartment elevators were rescued by the fire department. A fire official reported, "There were no casualties."

KEPCO explained that after the outage, generators were operated to supply essential power to elevators and other critical facilities.
