Hyundai Motor Company to Halt Operations at Asan Plant for Three Days Again
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Due to the shortage of automotive semiconductors, Hyundai Motor's Asan plant will halt operations for three days again, just two days after resuming production.
According to Hyundai Motor on the 13th, the Asan plant will suspend production from the 15th to the 17th due to disruptions in the supply of automotive semiconductor parts. Production is expected to resume after the Chuseok holiday, from the 20th to the 22nd.
Hyundai Motor had also stopped operations at the Asan plant on the 9th and 10th but resumed production on the same day as semiconductor parts were resupplied. However, the plant will close again just two days after normal operations resumed.
