Gwangju Nambu Fire Station's 'Safe Chuseok Holiday' Fire Prevention Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jin-Hyung Park] The Nambu Fire Station of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chief Lee Jeong-ja) announced that it conducted a fire prevention campaign for a safe Chuseok holiday in the area of Yangnim-dong Penguin Village and Lee Jang-woo House.
This campaign was carried out with volunteer firefighters in celebration of the Chuseok holiday. It aimed to raise public awareness and alertness about fire hazards by displaying visually effective placards and using pickets to engage citizens.
The main contents included ▲Promoting gifting of residential fire safety equipment (fire extinguishers, standalone smoke detectors) ▲Fire safety education through SoSoSim ▲Securing fire lanes in narrow alleyways.
The campaign was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner to minimize direct contact while strictly adhering to COVID-19 infection prevention guidelines.
Kim Haeng-mo, Director of Prevention and Safety at Nambu Fire Station, said, "The importance of fire prevention is increasing ahead of the Chuseok holiday. We ask everyone to diligently check fire safety equipment and work hard to prevent fires so that the whole family can have a happy holiday."
