D'Live, August Usage Analysis
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Among the content applications (apps) within D'Live Digital OTT broadcasting's ‘D'Live OTTv,’ Netflix has emerged as the most popular.
D'Live announced on the 10th that an analysis of the usage status of content apps installed on the online video service (OTT) box D'Live OTTv throughout August showed that Netflix accounted for 80% of the total clicks.
In particular, Netflix's ‘D.P.,’ released on August 27, contributed to its popularity. D'Live signed a licensing agreement with Netflix in 2016 and installed it on D'Live OTTv. Since then, Netflix has established itself as the killer content app most loved by users on D'Live OTTv.
Following that were ‘Watcha’ and ‘D'Live ON.’ Launched in June, D'Live ON is an app created by integrating the existing ‘MovieON’ and ‘D'Live i,’ allowing users to enjoy over 16,000 pieces of content including the latest movies by genre and domestic and international series. It recorded a cumulative click count 36% higher than D'Live i and 278% higher than MovieON.
