On the morning of the 8th, marine and fisheries professionals from across the country gathered at candidate Kim Du-gwan's election camp in Busan, the Northeast Asian maritime capital, to hold a press conference stating, "We support candidate Kim Du-gwan, who will complete the Northeast Asian maritime capital, Busan."

They also pledged, "Marine and fisheries professionals nationwide vow to take the lead in supporting candidate Kim Du-gwan so that Busan can be transformed into the Northeast Asian maritime capital."
