Yeonggwang-gun Conducts Facility Inspections and Road Maintenance in Preparation for Chuseok
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that it will carry out autumn road maintenance to repair facilities degraded by heavy rain and prepare for winter snowfall ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The county plans to focus on cleaning road surfaces, repairing potholes, maintaining drainage facility sediment, and repairing road signs on 30 routes (260 km) including local roads. In addition, snow removal materials and equipment will be inspected in advance to prepare for snow and ice measures.
This maintenance will be carried out by route to provide a pleasant road environment for holiday travelers by preemptively addressing factors that damage the roadside appearance and threaten traffic safety during the busy Chuseok holiday traffic.
A county official said, “We ask for residents' cooperation, such as moving parked vehicles in urban areas, to ensure smooth maintenance,” and added, “We will do our best to provide transportation convenience to residents and ensure the safety of holiday travelers through thorough maintenance.”
