Industry Ministry Vice Minister Orders 'Discovery of Presidential Election Pledges'... Moon Criticizes as "Highly Inappropriate"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Park Jin-gyu, the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and a former Blue House official, was strongly reprimanded by President Moon Jae-in, who called his recent remarks urging "presidential candidates to propose acceptable pledges" "highly inappropriate."
According to the Blue House, on the 8th, President Moon issued instructions stating, "If a similar incident occurs again, strict responsibility will be demanded," severely reprimanding Vice Minister Park for his related remarks.
He also gave additional instructions to "check whether similar incidents are occurring in other ministries."
