On the 8th, Officer Im appeared at the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Department as a witness.
On that day, Officer Im said, "Since this case involves the fate of the prosecution and the judicial justice of the Republic of Korea, I hope the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Department will not be overwhelmed by the weight of the case and will investigate fairly and justly according to law and principles."
In particular, when asked, "What kind of content was exchanged at the time and how did former Prosecutor General Yoon's side respond?" she replied, "Former Prosecutor General Yoon did not step forward directly but gave instructions behind the scenes through the Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office," adding, "I wanted to speak directly to the Prosecutor General, so I sent protest emails and text messages, all of which were attached to the records."
Regarding the claim that "Yoon's side said they never assigned the case," she explained, "The first case assigned to me at that time was the suspicion of false testimony coaching involving former Prime Minister Han Myeong-sook, and out of the total 11 volumes of investigation records over six months, I created 9 volumes," adding, "The former Deputy Chief Prosecutor Cho Nam-gwan's direct statements were also all submitted in the investigation report dated November last year."

Earlier, the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Department had opened an investigation into former Prosecutor General Yoon on charges of abuse of authority and obstruction of exercise of rights for allegedly interfering with the investigation by excluding Officer Im from the investigation work related to the former Prime Minister Han's false testimony coaching case in June, leading to a non-prosecution decision. During the investigation on this day, it is expected that they will verify the facts based on the inspection materials on former Prosecutor General Yoon secured through the search and seizure of the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Prosecutors' Office in July.
