Woori Financial Group Strengthens Subsidiaries' Digital Capabilities... Operates Support Program 'Didim'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Woori Financial Group announced on the 8th that it will operate a dedicated support system called 'DIDIM' to strengthen the digital capabilities of its subsidiaries.
DIDIM stands for Digital, ICT, Data Innovation Manager, and signifies a support role at the group level to help subsidiaries leap forward in digital innovation.
DIDIM targets newly incorporated subsidiaries and small-scale subsidiaries such as Woori Financial Capital, Woori Comprehensive Financial, and Woori Financial Savings Bank, which lack digital experience.
Digital practitioners at the holding company will form key communication channels related to digital transformation with each subsidiary and take on dedicated support roles.
They will regularly visit digital department employees of subsidiaries to identify digital issues and transfer expertise and know-how by linking with subsidiaries that have sufficient digital capabilities, such as Woori Bank, Woori Card, and Woori FIS.
In addition, internal and external digital innovation achievements and cases will be shared continuously, and initial direction setting for major digital projects will be supported to help overcome vague fears about digital and establish a culture of digital innovation.
