This year, the domestic massage chair market is expected to reach a scale of 1 trillion KRW, but the penetration rate remains below 10%. Wells first entered the massage chair market in December 2017, introducing two types: premium and standard massage chairs. With sales increasing by about 13% compared to the previous year, Wells plans to continuously secure market share through expanding its premium product lineup.
The new Wells massage chair provides optimal massage effects for the whole body and specific areas tailored to body shape, physical condition, and preferences. It features "4D massage" that massages the body three-dimensionally, an "SL frame and automatic body shape recognition function" optimized for human body curves, and a total of 28 massage functions including 16 automatic and 12 manual modes. Additionally, it massages the entire body using 64 airbags and heated massage balls, and offers detailed hand and foot care with a moving acupressure module and tapping massage function. The massage intensity and speed are subdivided into 12 and 6 levels respectively, allowing easy customized massage.
Furthermore, it enhances massage effectiveness with a "3-step zero gravity mode" that uses up to 156° tilt to increase body contact, a "real zero space" design minimizing separate usage space behind the main body, and a "triple noise reduction solution" that lowers noise to about 55db, improving consumer satisfaction.
According to Wells, the new product is available for use at a monthly rental fee of 104,900 KRW for general management and 114,900 KRW for special management based on a 5-year contract. It includes free quality warranty service during the contract period, regular device cleaning, and foot cover replacement every 12 months. When using the special management service, pad replacements are also provided for frequently worn areas such as shoulders, head, and back.
A Wells representative said, "This new product is a premium massage chair at the industry's highest level that maximizes the core functions and performance of massage chairs. We hope customers will experience the highest specification massage chair along with professional management services at a more reasonable rental fee."
