The '2021 National Food Cluster Food Expo,' held over two days on the 8th and 9th, is an event to share the vision of the National Food Cluster established in Iksan, Jeonbuk, and to support food companies in developing sales channels and promotion. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reflect industry trends, the event will be conducted online.
On the first day of the event, the 8th, NS Home Shopping prepared an 'Online Store Entry Briefing Session' to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with home shopping market information in response to the rapidly changing distribution market. Participating companies include those residing in the National Food Cluster and those who applied through public notices. To comply with quarantine guidelines, the session will be conducted as a non-face-to-face lecture via YouTube live streaming.
During the briefing session, NS Home Shopping's MD (Merchandise Planning) and QM (Quality Management) representatives will each provide a one-hour lecture on the store entry process, utilization methods and entry strategies for TV home shopping channels, quality assurance (QM) guidelines, and essential documents required for each product category. There will also be a Q&A session where representatives will answer questions from small and medium-sized food companies in real time through comments.
NS Home Shopping also prepared a support event for children suffering from food deprivation in collaboration with the National Food Cluster. Due to the reduced number of school days caused by COVID-19, there is concern about food deprivation among children from low-income families who rely on school meals. Accordingly, NS Home Shopping decided to deliver sponsorship funds of 20 million KRW to provide regular food expenses for children suffering from food deprivation in the Jeonbuk area. The sponsorship funds will be delivered to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation along with food packages composed of products from companies residing in the National Food Cluster.
