Samsung Asset Management Launches 'Dollar-Denominated US Index Fund'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] Samsung Asset Management launched the 'Samsung Dollar-Denominated US Index Fund' on the 6th, which allows diversified investment directly in US stocks in dollars without currency exchange.
This product is an index fund that tracks the S&P 500 index, representing the US stock market. In particular, it has the advantage of setting the base price in US dollars and allowing investors to redeem in dollars after investing.
Unlike funds invested in Korean won, it does not incur currency exchange or hedging costs, enabling diversified investment in leading US companies at a low cost. Investors who hold dollars but mostly keep them in deposits can diversify their portfolios by investing in the Samsung Dollar-Denominated US Index Fund.
