This is 314 fewer than the previous day (1,804 cases) and 129 fewer than last Saturday a week ago (1,619 cases). However, since the number of tests conducted over the weekend significantly decreased, it is difficult to conclude that the spread has slowed down.

Combining local and imported cases (excluding quarantine), the metropolitan area reported a total of 1,056 cases: Seoul 508, Gyeonggi 448, and Incheon 100. Confirmed cases were reported in all 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
The death toll increased by 6, bringing the total to 2,321. The domestic average fatality rate stands at 0.89%. The number of critically ill patients totaled 363, down by 13 from the previous day (376).
The number of tests conducted at screening clinics the previous day was 32,377, which is 31,303 fewer than the 63,680 tests conducted the day before. Separately, 87,273 tests were conducted at temporary screening clinics nationwide.
So far, a total of 13,382,738 COVID-19 tests have been conducted at domestic screening clinics, of which 260,403 tested positive and 12,247,641 tested negative.
