Gwangju Bank Donates Scholarship Fund to Foster Talent in Jeonnam Region
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) recently held a scholarship fund delivery ceremony at the Jeonnam Provincial Office attended by Song Jong-wook, President of Gwangju Bank, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, and other officials, the bank announced on the 3rd.
Through the delivery ceremony, Gwangju Bank donated 50 million KRW in scholarship funds, which will be used to improve educational conditions in rural farming and fishing villages in the Jeonnam region and to nurture local talents.
Gwangju Bank has donated a total of 430 million KRW in scholarship funds over the past 12 years, including 100 million KRW last year and an additional 50 million KRW this year to the Jeonnam Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-rok).
President Song of Gwangju Bank said, "As the representative bank of Jeonnam and Gwangju, we will take the lead in various social contribution activities to nurture local talents so that the talents who will lead the future of our region can freely grow and design their dreams."
