Korea Citibank, Non-Participation in the 'COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund' Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Citibank Korea will not participate in the government's COVID-19 coexistence national support fund program.
According to the industry on the 3rd, Citibank Korea is not participating in the point processing system that handles the support funds. Therefore, it is impossible to apply for and receive emergency disaster relief funds through Citi Card and Citibank branches.
The national support fund can be applied for on the domestic card industry websites starting from the 6th. It provides 250,000 KRW per person to 88% of the population in the lower income bracket. The payment method can be chosen from credit/check card point recharge, prepaid cards, or local gift certificates.
Citibank stated, "We ask for your understanding for the inconvenience caused to our customers," and added, "We will do our best to provide better services in the future."
