View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province announced that it will select 1,000 citizens, including unemployed individuals and employment-vulnerable groups facing economic difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and start the 3rd public job project from the 1st, providing vaccination and daily quarantine support.
Jinju City provided Jinju-type jobs for about 1,000 people in the 1st phase (January to June) and about 780 people in the 2nd phase (May to August) as part of this year's public job project. From September to December, it will invest 4.472 billion KRW in the 3rd public job project to support 1,000 jobs.
This project targets citizens aged 18 to under 65 years old who have the ability to work as of the project start date.
Considering the economic situation, additional points were given to citizens experiencing economic difficulties such as those who lost jobs or closed businesses due to COVID-19, vulnerable employment groups, those on leave, unpaid leave, special employment types, freelancers, etc., for selection.
The 3rd public job project, running until December, will prioritize deploying 30 people for vaccine inoculation support, 419 people for public facilities such as traditional markets and bus terminals, health centers, and local quarantine projects in eup, myeon, and dong areas for four months, 99 people for regional specialization projects such as improving rest areas in cultural and sports public facilities and creating flower streets, and 452 people for clean environment creation, rural economic activity support, and administrative support for three months, discovering jobs in various fields.
Participants will work 4 to 6 hours a day for 3 to 4 months depending on the work type, and wages will be paid at 8,720 KRW per hour, with an additional daily allowance of 5,000 KRW (transportation and snack expenses) and weekly holiday and annual leave allowances.
