Hanwha General Insurance Launches Personal Accident Insurance Service with Shared Electric Scooter Company Zicooter
Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 1st that it will launch the 'Personal Mobility Injury Insurance Service,' which covers fines and attorney fees incurred when customers using the Z-Gooter service of the shared electric scooter platform company Z-Bike suffer personal injuries or cause injury to others while operating the scooter.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 1st that it will launch a 'Personal Mobility Injury Insurance Service' that covers fines and attorney fees incurred in case of personal injury accidents involving customers using the shared electric scooter platform company G-Bike's G-Scooter service, as well as injuries caused to others during operation.
The two companies have been providing a service that covers third-party bodily injury and property damage accidents to customers using G-Scooter since August 2019.
This personal mobility injury insurance service is offered as a benefit linked to G-Scooter's monthly subscription pass called the 'Commute Booster' and can be easily subscribed to. The coverage period is one month after the customer purchases the monthly pass for G-Scooter.
The product is designed so that G-Scooter Commute Booster users can prepare for risks not only during the time they use the electric scooter for commuting but also throughout the entire commuting process including transfers via public transportation. It covers accidental death and permanent disability, fracture surgery and diagnosis fees, injury scar restoration surgery fees, accidental death and permanent disability while using public transportation, fines (up to 20 million KRW), and attorney fees (up to 5 million KRW).
