Mujugun to Provide Additional 100,000 KRW National Support Fund to Low-Income Households
[Muju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Muju-gun announced on the 31st that it will provide an additional 100,000 KRW per person in national support funds to low-income households struggling due to the impact of COVID-19.
This support from the county is separate from the government's disaster relief fund of 250,000 KRW and is targeted specifically at low-income groups.
The recipients include approximately 2,420 low-income residents such as basic livelihood security recipients who qualify, legally designated near-poverty groups, and single-parent families.
Muju-gun plans to pay the funds directly into the welfare benefit accounts of household representatives without requiring a separate application process.
However, basic livelihood security recipients (medical and educational) and near-poverty households (self-pay reduction and self-support) who require account verification must apply at the Eup/Myeon administrative welfare centers, and payments will be made after the account verification process.
