Human Rights Commission Holds Online Forum on 'Climate Crisis and Human Rights'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The National Human Rights Commission will hold an online "Discussion on Climate Crisis and Human Rights" at 2 p.m. on the 31st.
This discussion is the first forum hosted by the Human Rights Commission related to the climate crisis, aiming to promote public discourse on a human rights-based approach that views the climate crisis from a human rights perspective.
At the discussion, Professor Cho Hyo-je of Sungkonghoe University will present the logic and direction of the human rights-based approach to the climate crisis, Hwang In-cheol, head of the Climate and Energy Team at Green Korea United, will discuss the legislative direction of climate crisis response laws from a human rights perspective, and lawyer Park Ji-hye of Climate Solution will report on the progress and significance of constitutional lawsuits related to the climate crisis.
