Police Investigate Yoon Seok-yeol's Wife for Forgery of Private Documents... Civic Group Complainant Under Investigation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon]The police have launched an investigation into a case where a civic group accused Kim Geon-hee, wife of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, of being an accomplice in the forgery of a bank balance certificate of her mother, Choi Mo.
The Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency summoned Kim Han-me, the representative of the Judicial Justice Restoration Civic Action (Sasehaeng), who filed a complaint against Kim on charges including forgery of private documents, on the 30th for a complainant investigation.
Earlier, Sasehaeng filed a complaint with the police last month, stating, "It is hard to imagine that Choi secretly contacted the company auditor to request the forgery of a false balance certificate without Kim's knowledge, and it is reasonable to believe that Kim was sufficiently aware of such a situation in advance."
