2021 Garak Market and Other Chuseok Holiday Closures Notice
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Seoul's Garak-dong Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market (hereinafter Garak Market) and others will be closed for the Chuseok holiday.
According to the Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Kim Kyung-ho), among the fruit and vegetable categories at Garak Market, the vegetable category will hold auctions until the evening of September 19 and will reopen from the evening of September 23.
The fruit category closed after the morning auction on September 20 and will resume auctions at dawn on September 24.
Among the seafood categories at Garak Market, the fresh fish and shellfish categories closed after the morning auction on September 20 and will resume from the evening auction on September 23.
The dried seafood category held auctions until the morning of September 18 and will resume from the dawn auction on September 24.
Along with this, at the Gangseo Agricultural Products Wholesale Market (hereinafter Gangseo Market), the vegetable category of the auction system (vegetable and fruit categories) closed after the evening auction on September 19 and will resume from the evening auction on September 23.
The fruit category closed after the morning auction on September 20 and will proceed from the dawn auction on September 24. For market wholesalers, transactions will be conducted until 6 p.m. on September 19 and will resume from 6 p.m. on September 22.
Also, the grain wholesale market will conduct transactions until 6 p.m. on September 18 and will resume from 7 a.m. on September 23.
